Dear Students,
Based on your feedback we have recently reviewed the Semester 2 2017 calendar regarding the SWOTVAC (study week). You will remember for Semester 1 2017 we reduced our teaching weeks from 18 to 17 weeks by removing one study week so as not to compress the examination period for students.
The feedback received from students was that the study period was too short, particularly considering that practical examinations occur during week 14 as do national holiday make-up classes. Based on this feedback and a review undertaken by senior management we are reinstalling the two week SWOTVAC effective for Semester 2 and online.
This is now reflected within the 2017 Academic Calendar for Semester 2 2017. You can access the updated calendar on the tab above this notice entitled 'Calendars,' and selecting 'On Campus HE Calendar 2017.'
