Dear Students,
Next week is Week 1 of Semester 2 and marks your return to campus for the formal teaching period. By now your subjects for this coming teaching period have been loaded within your enrolled subjects and are available for you to view.
If you have not already done so yet, I would encourage you all to access the 'Study Skills' materials located above and access the 'Enabling Preparation,' section. This Enabling course has a number of great tips and tricks that will assist with your preparation and puts you in the best possible place to assist with a successful semester. Make sure that you check out the weekly planner to assist with mapping your assessments.
As we have recently upgraded the Learning Management System (LMS), now might also be a great time to also revisit Samantha's quick videos if you have not already done so. These are full of useful information such as how to upload your assessments, use Turnitin (the plagiarism detection software) and access your resources on the site and other useful tips. If you have any ideas for further videos that you think might be useful, please let me know - we receive great feedback about these.
Good preparation and planning will hold you in good stead for the time ahead and remember that both Student Services and academic staff are always here to assist. If you are worried about your progress at anytime during the semester, make sure you come and see us and make an appointment. There are many support mechanisms that you can access to get you back on track.
