Dear Endeavour Students,
We are pleased to release both the 2018 Academic calendars and the Summer School Timetable.
The 2018 Academic Calendars are available for you to view under ‘Resources’ within your student portal are are also live on the website.
If you are a student who is studying at the Gold Coast campus, please be aware that this campus has a different Academic Calendar to the other national campuses due to the Commonwealth Games being held in April 2018. The Gold Coast campus is located within the ‘restricted’ zone for traffic during that time and therefore the campus will be closed during the 2 week period and a separate calendar has been created to account for this.
Gold Coast students will essentially begin 1 week earlier for Semester 1 than other campuses so please ensure that you check your calendar if this applies to you.
Enrolments are now open via the Student Portal for Summer School. Sessions are scheduled to run between 2nd January to 11th February, 2018 for all campuses with a census date of 12th January, 2018.
Summer School subjects include the same number of hours as subjects undertaken during semester, just in an intensive delivery. Some classes run for one full week only, others a number of days per week over 5 or 6 weeks.
Summer School allows you to:
- Catch up
on a subject so that Semester 1 2018 is a lighter load
- Get back in course progression
- Get ahead with your pre-requisite subjects
- Finish your qualification a little earlier than expected
- Re-do a subject if required
Assessments are conducted in the same manner as during semester (for example, if the subject includes an exam in a semester delivery then there will be an exam in Summer School). All assessments must be completed by the end of Summer School.
