Welcome to WHS week (23-27 October) across the Campus, this week is aligned with the Work Safe Australia, National Safe Work Month, with a focus on workplace health and safety (WHS) across the Campus Network.

  • The overall theme for the week is SAFER, how can we work safer, how can the Campus be safer, how can we practice safer work methods, safer work  behaviours,  safer best practices and create a safer environment for staff and students, this not only pertains to  WHS and  facilities but also working approaches and attitudes to WHS across the campus for both students and staff.  See it, Access it and report it, Fix it, Evaluate it, and Review it
  • Please report all areas that you pick up on the may need attention to the local  Campus team – managers and coordinators will work collectively to implement solutions to a ‘SAFER’  environment across the Campus for students and staff to study and work within.

Monday’s theme is SAFER | Mindfulness Matters - Watch  the Power of Mindfulness  What You Practice Grows Stronger | Shauna Shapiro

Mindfulness can be defined as ‘a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations’, a quality or state of being conscious or aware.
