Dear Students,

Welcome to week 5 and week 6 (GC)  and please see an update on some activities and general notifications for the week ahead.

  •  Meditation sessions across the week, times and dates have been posted around the Campus and everyone is welcome to join, these sessions are to support wellbeing and offer support as the middle of the semester starts the time for planning and studying for assignments that are coming up.
  • Academic Support  if you are seeking extra academic support go to the Study skills tab in the LMS and book an academic consultation session with an academic on site, be prepared for the tutorial with any faq's that you may have as you cover the content to help solidify your knowledge and subject matter expertise in this area.
  • Gold Coast  - Get set for the games,  the Commonwealth games will start on the Gold Coast from 4th to 15th April, during this time travels will change
    • 6600 athletes and 70 commonwealth nations have started to arrive with the commonwealth villages now open, 15,500 volunteers and spectators across all venues are now arriving

    • Endeavour is classified in the core game area and on the core game route - the Campus is closed  from April 2nd to April 14th inclusive for security management,  no staff or students will have access to the Campus during this period

    • Students travelling to Brisbane, please check the travel routes and times, please connect with your lecturers  to manage expectations around attendance classes as  Clinic make-ups and special  consideration for attendance may need to be considered

    • If you have the opportunity to attend the Games, please enjoy this is a unique opportunity to be hosting a world-class event in the GC, make the most of it,  as somethings do only happen once...


May week 5 & 6 be productive planning weeks as you start to plan for the assessment and assignment period of the semester,  use the tools available to you and work out the best way you study and start to make this a habit over the next 6 weeks, for insight into your unique learning style try this learning style quizz
