As you know, we are working on some exciting technology upgrades over the next couple of weeks to improve your student experience.
Here’s an overview of what you can expect:
- Upgraded LMS: to implement this change we will shut down the LMS from Friday 18 December to Sunday 20 December
- Microsoft Office 365 for all students: available Monday 21 December
- Discontinuation of Google Suite (including Gmail and Google Drive): Friday 18 December
Upgraded LMS + three-day shutdown
As you know, our upgraded digital learning environment is launching in January 2021. In order to implement this change, we will be shutting down the LMS for three days from Friday 18 December to Sunday 20 December – these dates have been chosen in order to create the least amount of disruption for you as possible. The LMS will be up and running again on Monday 21 December.
What you need to do...
Please ensure you have what you need to continue your study over these three days without the LMS. On Monday 21 December when the LMS is back online, you are required to use your Endeavour Office 365 login details to sign in to the LMS.
Microsoft Office 365
We are moving all students onto one technology platform Microsoft Office 365 and retiring Google Suite. With this transition you may not have access to your OneDrive files from 21 December for few days. We will be restoring your OneDrive data in your new Office 365 account which may take up to a week (note: your email address won’t change).
What you need to do...
Ensure you save/download any Office 365 OneDrive files locally (on your device) you think you may need from Friday 18 December as you may not have access to them for up to a week.
Discontinuation of Google Suite
With the transition to Microsoft Office 365 we will be discontinuing Google Suite including Gmail and Google Drive. We will migrate your email and Google Drive data from Google to Office 365 which may take a few days so please note that you may not have access to all your old emails and Google Drive files for up to a week.
What you need to do
Ensure you save any emails and files locally (on your device) you think you may need from Friday 18 December as you may not have access to them for up to a week. Also, if you have any personal data/files on Google Drive, we suggest you save these locally on your device.
Important! If you are using your Endeavour email account or Endeavour Google account details for any personal, third-party accounts or apps e.g. Instagram, Etsy, Kogan, etc. – please transition these to your personal account before 18 December as these will not be accessible after this change.
