Dear Students,

Please be advised of an important update to our current academic and financial liability policies for your reference.

There are two new policies that are now live and active via the Endeavour website relating to applications for requests for academic or financial assistance which are required as an accredited provider.  These policies, and corresponding forms, are for students to apply for Special Consideration to request academic penalty removal or any other assistance (not financial) and Special Circumstances via the updated Remission of Financial Liability Policy for requests of remission of fees post census date.  Both these polices have been benchmarked to the Australian Tertiary sector and other providers as part of our annual quality improvement cycle.

Please note that the previous Special Circumstances policy and form is no longer in use and has been replaced by the following two policies and forms:

Policies:

Special Consideration Policy- Higher Education - CLICK HERE

Remission of Financial Liability due to Special Circumstances Policy- Higher Education - CLICK HERE

Forms:

Special Consideration Form- CLICK HERE

Remission of Financial Liability Form- CLICK HERE

For any academic related requests that fall outside of current policy such as assessment extension request that falls past the allowable time negotiated with your lecturer you are now able to submit an application of Special Consideration with the appropriate supporting documentation that details your reasons or inability to comply with current processes and procedures within a teaching period.  This will be assessed for special consideration upon submission.

Students who meet the HESA (Higher Educations Support Act)-2003 guidelines for a remission of financial liability (remission of tuition fees post census - which includes FEE-HELP and self-funding students) can now do so under the newly named Remission of Financial Liability due to Special Circumstances Policy.  This is an update of the previous Special Circumstances Policy which is no longer in use.  Details on the special circumstances that apply for this kind of application are recorded within the policy.

Submission locations of the above mentioned forms can be found on the website: http://www.endeavour.edu.au/student-services/key-forms-and-submission

Please note that applications for financial liability will no longer accepted over the counter or via email to Student Services. Requests for remission of financial viability will only be accepted via remissions@endeavour.edu.au. Any documentation supplied to support your application must be in the form of certified copies as the College will not be accepting original documentation. Original documentation is to be maintained for your reference. All applications must be submitted with relevant, certified documentation to the correct area for review. Applications that are not complete or do not meet the eligibility criteria as outlined in the policy will be denied.

Applications for Special Consideration (academic and other requests - not financial) will be accepted via Student Services on campus or email to your local Student Services inbox and must also meet the criteria as outlined within the Policy.

If you have any questions relating to these new policies and forms please request Student Services assistance via the Student Portal.

Kind regards,

Jennifer Osborne
