Dear Students,

This is a busy time of the semester as assessments are due and the study and preparation for exams have started as you start to solidify and consolidate all the depth and breadth of knowledge you have built across the semester.

It is at this juncture that you need to keep in mind planning for the next semester and thank you to students that have planned ahead and already enrolled into S2|18, this has the added advantage of being able to secure your preferred class dates and times across the semester.

The Student Services team will start to roll out Course Progression Planning workshops in May and June. The goal of each workshop is to support your enrolment and planning across a semester, contrary to popular belief picking and choosing whichever subject you like is not conducive to an effective timetable or succinct course progression.

In all courses, it is important to consider the course structure as this is designed to be followed consecutively by taking the subjects in the recommended order which supports active learner engagement as knowledge is scaffolded and the style of learning goes from teacher-led to student-led initiatives within the scope of classrooms and clinics.

We respect that as a student you have commitments across study/ work/ family and life and it is important to plan in advance to manage and juggle these commitments and the course progression workshops have been designed to help  give you the background in how to plan your studies, within the course structure across the next few years of your study.

Attending a  course progression workshop  can support the following:

Dates and times across the network are posted on Campus and the poster attached,  book in with the SS team across May and June.
