Dear Students,

Welcome to week 2 of the learning journey and we hope that classes and clinics attended to date have gone well as you settle into the semester.

Please see some updates below on support contact points and options that the College is able to offer you across the semester;

Course Progression Support & Adaptability:

  • At this early stage, you will start to have an idea of the time commitments required for study, if you need to adapt your study load or would like advice on course progression, please contact the student services team on courseprogression@endeavour.edu.au
  • Book an appointment with the student services team for a course progression consultation via the my courses tab in the LMS.
  • Some options for consideration if you are thinking about adopting the current study load;
  • If you are still to pick up co-requisite subjects* we would recommend in enrolling in the above intakes, this will support result release dates before S1|19 and allow a smooth transition into the next semester subjects. (* co-req's must be studied in the same teaching period).
  • NOTE: Census date is Friday, August 24th, you will have up until this date to drop subjects without financial penalty, after the 24th these subjects incur financial cost and will be  allocated to fee-help, fee-help weblink
  • First-year students connect with firstyear@endeavour.edu.au for any FAQ's and make certain you work though the orientation module under the my courses tab for tips and tricks every week
Academic Support:
  • Connect with your Academic teams as they are the subject matter experts. If you need extra tutorial support, keep an eye out for group tutorial times and attend these at your local Campus, a great way to build study buddies and to test and consolidate the knowledge learnt to date.
  • You are also able to book an academic consultation under the learning resources tab in the LMS
  • If you have started study after some time out and would like to brush up on essential Higher Education skills, consider the following non-award subjects:
    • ACAS011 Academic Skills - a great subject to master the academic skills required to support successful study within Higher Education courses
    • BIOH011 Introduction to Health Sciences - a great subject to support essential knowledge in the health science subjects that support the foundations of a Bachelor of Health Science Degree.
Student Support Programs:
  • SAP (Student Assistance Program) available at 1800 33 62 07, (24/7), this is a confidential counselling program available for students for study related or personal problems. This program is provided by a third party provider with professional counsellors to support you, a personal coach in times of stress.
  • Access and Equity programs are designed to support students that may require extra support based on medical conditions, please book an appointment with a student advisor, under my courses tab Student Services Consultations for further consultation or link to the website for further information on Access & Equity

Social Activities:
  • For some social activities coming  up, please keep the student market day on your calendar for Tuesday,  August 14th  if you are an entrepreneurial student that would like to run your own stall and showcase your products, pick up a flyer around Campus, speak to the campus team or  register at ecnh.co/SMD2018   We look forward to supporting you on the day.

Have a great week 2 of pushing your boundaries with learning and consolidation of learning in clinic and thought for the week ahead... Strength doesn't come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't.....
