Dear Students,

Welcome to week 4 of the semester and this is decision time and planning time, please see the below for your consideration across the week.

Census Date August 24th

  • Census date is August 24th  this is the date when you finalize your enrolment.

  • You are able to withdraw or drop subjects up until Census date without penalty and you can manage this via the student portal by dropping a subject.
  • If you withdraw or drop a subject after Census date you will have to pay fees, if you have a FEE-HELP loan you will incur a debt.
Plan your studies.
It is important to manage your study load at this time and consider how to balance or counterbalance the current commitments in your life,
Now is the time to start to get serious with your study and to become best friends with your textbooks, the library and your study planner,  set a study plan and stick to it.
    • Find a study buddy –  swap study notes/ test each other etc.
    • Join group tutorials on Campus  - these will be advertised on local student notice boards.
    • Book tutorials with the local Academic team, take in a list of your questions and seek support on the topics that are challenging
    • Know your subject outline, print this out and put all the assessment in your calendar in advance,
    • use the assignment calculator tool on the library, this is great to plug in your due dates and then follow the steps to complete the assignment.
    • Use the library and plan and block you study time, the library also has computers available for use
    • Use the  study skills section  of the library to help support your study
    • Use the support tools on the LMS and the library as you continue with your studies the library website link for Academic Skills
Manage your support teams
  • Connect with the Student Assistance Program  (SAP)  1800 336 207.
  • Connect with student services on 1300 462 887 or student.services@endeavour.edu.au
  • Connect with your local campus activities schedules of yoga/ meditation
  • Connect with your local support team/practitioner to help manage and support your health across the coming weeks.
  • Connect with your family and let them part of your key support team across the semester
Most of all remember your goal of studying the big picture and how these steps will lead to your future career path for you and all those you will help on your journey after the academic accolades are achieved.

Thought for the week ahead..... very often a change of self is needed more than a change of scene......
