Hi Students

Endeavour is completing an upgrade and migration of our IT infrastructure! This is an exciting change, however you will temporarily lose access to Endeavour's applications and systems during the change over period. You will also require a new log in password to re-access our systems after the change. 

We recognise that changes can be disruptive, and want to mitigate the impacts on you as much as possible. This news post is to ensure you are fully aware of what is happening and when, and how we are anticipating your support needs during this change process. You'll also be receiving further communications at each stage of the process. 

When are the systems unavailable? 

Endeavour systems will be unavailable for a weekend period:  

  • Starts: 5pm AEST Friday 26 July  
  • Finishes: 8am AEST Monday 29 July 

This is the weekend of Week 11 for May Online, Week 4 for July online and Week 3 for Clinic Block 3. We have chosen this time to limit impacts on students as much as possible.  

Which systems are affected? 

All Endeavour systems will be unavailable during this period, and will include no access to: 

  • Learning Management System 
  • Student Portal 
  • Student emails
  • Student Hub
  • Microsoft 365 files saved online or in OneDrive 
  • Library website and the digital resources collection 
  • Help Hub
  • Endeavour Short Courses  

College devices including on-campus computers and printers will also be unavailable from 8am Friday 26 July to 5pm Friday 2 August as we connect these to our new systems. Scheduled classes will continue, with planning in place to prevent this work from impacting students and our clinic clients. WellNation Next clinic computers will remain available.  

During the unavailable period and immediately after this you may also see some broken links on our websites or documents. We'll be updating these systemically. If you notice a broken link and would like to provide feedback, please reach out to us via the Help Hub.

What do I need to do before the change?  

Please ensure you have saved any files or resources you would like to access over the weekend, including from your emails (if you have not downloaded onto your device).  

Please also ensure that we have your current mobile phone number and personal email address recorded in the Student Portal. For guidance on how to do this see the FAQ.  

Results for March and Semester 1 periods:

  • will release on Thursday 25 of July
  • will be available to view until 5pm AEST on Friday 26 July
  • will be unavailable during the change over
  • will become available again from 8am AEST Monday 29 July. 

Clinic Block 3 Census: 

  • occurs at 5pm on Friday 26 July, the same time that systems become unavailable
  • please ensure any pre-census withdrawal request is submitted before this time.

     

What do I need to do during the change?  

You will not be able to access any Endeavour systems during this period. 

  • Students who have assignments or quizzes due by Sunday 28 July will have an automatic extension applied until Thursday 1 August, 11:55pm AEST.
  • Students who have a deferred exam scheduled for this period have been provided with a revised due date. 

What do I need to do after the change?  

You will now have access to Endeavour systems again! However, your password will have changed. So please make sure you use your reset password for login. 

New login password

Your student email address stays the same, but your password will be reset to the format

  • Sddmmyyyy& (capital S, your date of birth, and the and symbol - i.e. the ampersand). 

On your first login, you will be required to change this password to a format unique to you to secure your account. Directions will be provided on how to do this closer to the change period. 

Emails sent over the weekend will have been queued, and so there may be minor delays in these reappearing in your inbox.  

New printing access

If you use your Student ID card to release your printing you will need to reset this card with your new log in details after the change over is complete. Directions will be provided alongside the printer on how to do this. 

How do I access assistance if needed? 

After the change over, you will simply use your reset login password to continue as you always have. In case you do have any difficulties logging back in again, a dedicated Systems team will be standing by ready to provide you with support. Contact details will be provided closer to the closure period.
