Hello Students,

The College's project to upgrade and migrate our IT infrastructure is progressing well, and we are preparing for the offline period from 5pm AEST Friday 26 July, until 8am AEST Monday 29 July

During this weekend period students will be unable to access Endeavour systems, including:
  • Learning Management System
  • Student Portal
  • Student emails
  • Student Hub
  • Microsoft 365 files saved online or in OneDrive
  • Library website and the digital resources collection
  • Help Hub
  • Endeavour Short Courses
College devices will be unavailable from 8am Friday 26 July to 5pm Friday 2 August, including:
  • on-campus computers
  • on-campus printers
  • Wellnation clinic computers will remain available during this period.
March and Semester 1 results will release on Thursday 25 July, and be available to view until the start of the offline period at 5pm on Friday 26 July. Access will return at 8am Monday 29 July.
A reminder that if you have an assignment or quiz due over the offline weekend, your new due date is Thursday 1 August, at 11:55pm AEST.
Please ensure you have downloaded copies of any documents you would like to access over the offline period.

Login Password Updates

  • Your password will be reset during the migration.

We recognise that change can be disruptive, and have our teams standing by to assist you throughout the process and afterwards. We are looking forward to welcoming you into our improved systems, and then into the new semester starting in August!

Hi Students

Endeavour is completing an upgrade and migration of our IT infrastructure! This is an exciting change, however you will temporarily lose access to Endeavour's applications and systems during the change over period. You will also require a new log in password to re-access our systems after the change.

We recognise that changes can be disruptive, and want to mitigate the impacts on you as much as possible. This news post is to ensure you are fully aware of what is happening and when, and how we are anticipating your support needs during this change process. You'll also be receiving further communications at each stage of the process.

When are the systems unavailable?

Endeavour systems will be unavailable for a weekend period:

  • Starts: 5pm AEST Friday 26 July
  • Finishes: 8am AEST Monday 29 July

This is the weekend of Week 11 for May Online, Week 4 for July online and Week 3 for Clinic Block 3. We have chosen this time to limit impacts on students as much as possible.

Which systems are affected?

All Endeavour systems will be unavailable during this period, and will include no access to:

  • Learning Management System
  • Student Portal
  • Student emails
  • Student Hub
  • Microsoft 365 files saved online or in OneDrive
  • Library website and the digital resources collection
  • Help Hub
  • Endeavour Short Courses

College devices including on-campus computers and printers will also be unavailable from 8am Friday 26 July to 5pm Friday 2 August as we connect these to our new systems. Scheduled classes will continue, with planning in place to prevent this work from impacting students and our clinic clients. WellNation Next clinic computers will remain available.

During the unavailable period and immediately after this you may also see some broken links on our websites or documents. We'll be updating these systemically. If you notice a broken link and would like to provide feedback, please reach out to us via the Help Hub.

What do I need to do before the change?

Please ensure you have saved any files or resources you would like to access over the weekend, including from your emails (if you have not downloaded onto your device).

Please also ensure that we have your current mobile phone number and personal email address recorded in the Student Portal. For guidance on how to do this see the FAQ.

Results for March and Semester 1 periods:

  • will release on Thursday 25 of July
  • will be available to view until 5pm AEST on Friday 26 July
  • will be unavailable during the change over
  • will become available again from 8am AEST Monday 29 July.

Clinic Block 3 Census:

  • occurs at 5pm on Friday 26 July, the same time that systems become unavailable
  • please ensure any pre-census withdrawal request is submitted before this time.

What do I need to do during the change?

You will not be able to access any Endeavour systems during this period.

  • Students who have assignments or quizzes due by Sunday 28 July will have an automatic extension applied until Thursday 1 August, 11:55pm AEST.
  • Students who have a deferred exam scheduled for this period have been provided with a revised due date.

What do I need to do after the change?

You will now have access to Endeavour systems again! However, your password will have changed. So please make sure you use your reset password for login.

New login password

Your student email address stays the same, but your password will be reset to the format

  • Sddmmyyyy& (capital S, your date of birth, and the and symbol - i.e. the ampersand).

On your first login, you will be required to change this password to a format unique to you to secure your account. Directions will be provided on how to do this closer to the change period.

Emails sent over the weekend will have been queued, and so there may be minor delays in these reappearing in your inbox.

New printing access

If you use your Student ID card to release your printing you will need to reset this card with your new log in details after the change over is complete. Directions will be provided alongside the printer on how to do this.

How do I access assistance if needed?

After the change over, you will simply use your reset login password to continue as you always have. In case you do have any difficulties logging back in again, a dedicated Systems team will be standing by ready to provide you with support. Contact details will be provided closer to the closure period.

Endeavour is pleased to be able to make these changes, and look forward to welcoming you back with full access from the morning of Monday 29 July.

Thank you
Team Endeavour

Dear Students,

First and foremost we would like to apologise for the continuous moving of the timelines for timetable viewing and enrolment dates. While we recognize that this will be frustrating, we have taken student feedback about progression on board, (taking into consideration the COVID-19 global pandemic), and we have remained solution focused on ensuring students can continue course progression as planned in 2020. As a result of student feedback the Clinic Block 4 model is being revised to accommodate all of S2|20 clinical progression. This revision takes time with the programming and testing of an additional 170+ clinic offerings, across 4 modalities and 6 campuses, these revisions support a full S2 clinical timetable and a student’s ability to be eligible to graduate at the end of 2020 and progress into 2021.

Student feedback about staged timetable releases to support system capacity has been taken on board with timetable enrolments opening at different days and times to monitor and manage volume based on the campus footprint. Site news -> IMPORTANT: Academic Integrity Module

by Mark Payne -

Dear Students,

I hope you have all adjusted well to our current way of studying.

Here at Endeavour College, we consider academic integrity to be an important part of your development as a professional practitioner and member of the complementary medicine industry.

To support this it is important that you are all aware of what academic integrity is, what the various forms of academic dishonesty are, and of course how to avoid these types of problems.  For this, it is compulsory for all students to complete the academic integrity module and achieve a pass of 100%.

On the assessments tab of each of your subjects, you may find that you are not able to submit assignments on the LMS until you have completed the academic integrity module, which should take approximately 15-20mins.

You can access the academic integrity module from the prompt at the top of the assessment tab, or under the learning resources menu at the top of the screen.

Once you have completed the academic integrity module once, you are awarded a digital badge which remains in place for the duration of your studies with Endeavour College.  You only need to complete the module once and it will apply to all subjects.

If you have any problems in completing the module please submit a helpdesk ticket to EdTech for assistance by click on the green envelope icon, under LMS support at the bottom of the page.

We encourage you to complete the academic integrity module at your earliest convenience and well in advance of the due date for any assessment to avoid any issues with uploading your assignments.

I wish you the very best with your studies this semester and as always, stay well.

Regards

Mark

Site news -> Mid semester update

by Andrea Bugarcic -

Dear students,

As we are edging closer to the mid semester break and I received a few queries about this period of the semester so here is the update:

1. please note that daylight savings is occuring on Sunday 5th April, 2020 - this means that time zones will change for MEL, SYD and ADL campuses and remain the same for BNE, GC and PER campuses; you were provided with the local times prior and after the daylight savings on the Loop as part of the Zoom announcements - please familiarise yourself with the change (if applicable) so you are able to attend the live streaming of lectures

2. we will have a mid semester break as scheduled in the Semester 1, 2020 calendar - this means mid-semester break will occur from 13th to 17th April, 2020

3. we will not be running classes on Good Friday 10th April, 2020 - all classes scheduled for this Friday would have been delivered earlier in the week and also recorded so please either attend the earlier live streaming or listen/watch the recording

As always, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to connect and thank you all for the kindness towards your lecturers while we all adjust to this new way of curriculum delivery.

I hope you and your loved ones are all safe and well. Please stay healthy.

Kind regards,

Andrea

Site news -> Thank you and clarification

by Andrea Bugarcic -

Dear students,

I hope this notice finds you and your family healthy and together.

Firstly, I wanted to take a moment and say a huge THANK YOU for coming to classes, providing feedback and working in a collaborative and kind way with the College. The positive feedback has been overwhelming and that is amazing to hear - every member of the College is working very hard to still deliver high quality education we pride ourselves on even in these disruptive times. Now, more than ever, do we need to communicate and collaborate in a kind and understanding way - this is the only way of getting through these times - as a community. So thank you for being part of that community, for your perseverance and for focusing on your learning in such an inspiring way.

Secondly, while we try and communicate, sometimes written communication can be unclear and can create confusion. Recently, students told me that there is a bit of confusion around attendance requirements for specific subjects. I wanted to clear up any confusion and say the following - for all subjects that require 80% or 100% attendance:

- if part of this subject is currently delivered virtually (e.g. theory part of a practical subject or a clinic workshop) - attendance to this is NOT compulsory (also remember that these are also recorded and can be viewed at any time)

- all subjects delivered in the intensive blocks (as per previous post this includes practical and clinic subjects) will have compulsory attendance (any non-attendance will need to be processed through the special circumstances applications, as per normal process)

As you can imagine, intensive blocks will only deliver/develop practical skills that are required as part of your subject's learning objectives - these we can not deliver virtually for safety and standards purposes. As such, practical and clinic intensives will carry compulsory  attendance as it is assumed that you have developed theoretical grounding for the practical skills in the virtual classes available now (as applicable for each subject) and we teach you and assess your practical skills upon return (as applicable to the learning outcomes for each subject). Within clinic subjects, we assess the knowledge you accumulated across your degree as well as skills needed to conduct the clinic session - this has not changed from the previous way of delivering these subjects.

My apologies if previous posts have been unclear around the attendance requirements and I hope above eliminates any confusion.

As always - please communicate, this will make us all stronger through this unusual time.

Stay healthy and safe.

Kind regards,

Dr Andrea Bugarcic

Director of Education

(Edited by Deirdre Mathias - original submission Wednesday, 25 March 2020, 11:46 PM)

Dear Students,

Please be advised that the Student Feedback Surveys are open for feedback for each of your Semester 2 2019 on campus and August 2019 online subjects. There are two separate surveys to allow us to obtain detailed information for both subject content and lecturer improvement. We take your feedback very seriously and use it for continuous improvement of the curriculum and content, and also to measure the Good Teaching Score (GTS) for each of our academics.

The Subject Feedback Survey opens from Week 10, the Lecturer Feedback Survey opens from week 11, both surveys close before final examination period starts.

Please ensure you complete a feedback form for each of your subjects individually. You can find the link for these surveys under the 'Feedback' tab in your subjects.

If you believe that your lecturer has provided outstanding service, mentorship, and guidance including a wealth of knowledge on their area of expertise, now is the time to make your voice heard.

Please tell us what you think about them, the subject delivery, and your overall experience in each of your subjects.

We look forward to receiving your feedback!
